Daycare Staff Expand All staff at Bright Kids have considerable experience of working with children and meeting the requirements of the EYFS framework the staff also have extensive knowledge of Playwork, the Playwork Principles and the importance of play on children’s learning and development. All members of staff are expected to undertake continuous professional development training and are always updating their skills. All our staff are suitably qualified and undertakes regular training. We adhere to Ofsted regulations concerning qualifications and all our staff undergo an Enhanced DBS check. Directors Expand Rachel Lynch - Managing Director Rachel founded The Community Network (NE) CiC in 2015 in order to ensure long term sustainability of Mortimer Community Centre and its community programmes. Rachel’s role as Managing Director of the CiC sees her overseeing the growth and development of the company, ensuring that the local community are kept at the heart of everything we do. As leader of the organisation Rachel can be relied on to create and develop new and exciting projects and nurture all aspects of the business. Rachel specialises in funding and has been incredibly successful securing funding and investment for The Community Network (NE) CiC over the past few years. Rachel works closely with The School Sport Network to increase physical activity and sporting opportunities with local primary schools and sits on an number of different boards and committees. Lesley Mort - Legal Director. Lesley qualified as a solicitor whilst working full time in one of the largest law firms in the North East. As a result, she has over 10 years practical legal experience. She worked in a number of different areas of law including commercial litigation and employment law. Lesley has worked with the team, advising and assisting on all compliance matters including reviewing the companies policies and procedures, assisting in the preparation for an Ofsted inspection, reviewing and drafting new terms of business and facility hire agreements and liaising with our health and safety and HR advisers to implement procedures and practices to comply with legislative requirements. Joy Andre - Facility and Finance After studying a Business and Finance Degree at Sunderland University, Joy Andre began to work for Associated Co-operative Creameries in the IT department. She then moved into the management accounts department where she was a Management Accounts Assistant. Joy continued her studies with additional booking keeping qualifications before securing a job a medium sized services company Joy again undertook all accounting aspects of the business as well as office admin and manging diaries. Whilst there, Joy undertook an NVQ in customer services. In 2015 Joy moved into her current role with CiC as Finance and Facilities Manager. Soon Joy was recruited onto the board of directors having displayed excellent ability to keep accounts up to date, assist with funding bids and help the growth of the company. Joy works across all areas of the CiC. And has put many new systems in place and improved cash flow Andrew Potts - Company Accountant Andrew is a member of both the ACCA and ATT and has a wealth of experience in the SME market, dealing with many different industries and sectors. He is director of KP Simpson Ltd, a company which he set up which operates from Jarrow. KP Simpson Ltd deal with many Community Interest Companies therefore have a good understanding of how they operate.
