Parental Partnership

We believe that parent partnerships are key to a successful early years experience for children and for them to gain the most out of their early education and reach expected levels of development.

At Bright Kids we aim to keep parents and carers up to date and involved with what is happening at nursery.

We do this by;

  • Using our Interactive Online Learning Journal to keep parents informed of their child's progress which includes observations and photographs of their time at nursery.
  • Newsletters informing parents of the activities we have been doing at nursery and upcoming events.
  • Regular Parent Events such as concerts and stay and play so that parents can be involved in their child's learning.
  • Basket of Opportunity (Boo Basket) which is a basket of activities which children can take home to help develop the 3 prime areas of Learning.  This helps parents to encourage their child's development outside of nursery.
  • Scotty Dog - Home Bear. We love to know what our children are doing at home....this helps us develop activities and learning around children's likes and interests. Children get the opportunity to take Scotty Dog home and children are encouraged to share their home adventure with us.
  • We have an Open Door Policy. This means you have the opportunity to discuss your child's day, their progress or any problems or concerns with us each day when you drop off or collect your child.

Early Years Foundation Stage

At Bright Kids all staff follow the Early Years Foundation Stage, which sets the standards for the learning, development and care of your child from birth to 5 years old. The EYFS gives us a set of common principles and commitments to help us ensure that we deliver quality early education and childcare experiences to all children.
