School Sport Network

Established through a local Service Level Agreement in September 2014, the School Sport Network encompasses the PE and School Sport Premium objectives to provide wide ranging Physical Education and Physical Activity opportunities to all young people within South Tyneside.

Objectives

  • Engaging with all schools and young people aged 5-19 in South Tyneside through the provision of high quality Physical Education and Physical Activity Opportunities for all
  • Establishing a robust infrastructure for schools to effectively utilise their PE & School Sport Premium Funding
  • Establishing relationships with “Hard to Reach” groups through wide and varied Health and Wellbeing provision
  • Ensuring the sustainability and high quality of school based provision through the delivery of a cutting edge Continuing Professional Development Programme for Teachers, Staff and Coaches.

Network Membership

A system exists for schools to purchase membership subscription for 1,2 or 3 years. Likewise non-member schools can access elements of the offer at a premium cost.
